Self Portraits
These 5 unique self-portraits reflect my state of mind during February as I began to see life with urgency in 2023
I made each portrait in one day to capture a sense of urgency against the time I have alive to create.
By taking this direction, I could trust the imperfections and the strengths of the brushstrokes. Capturing moments of confidence, stress, and delivery against carefulness and fear.
The car represents my body. A “mechanical” figure controlled by a mind. So fragile that under the pressure of conflicting thoughts, one must balance carefulness and action. One can’t help but question purpose and direction.
